What's Cooking?

Praise the Lord and oh yes it's Friday ... Time to finish up a busy work week, pay off a few bills and get the family ready for a fun weekend too. Church, doing the laundry and whatever else God wishes to surprise us with is on our calendar. However during all of the above activities, if we're not careful the devil can trick us into believing that visiting a bar and having a drinks with family or friends is the best way to feel at ease after a stressful week. This is why the Lord instructed us to share with you this biblical advice ...

Galatians 1:10 (HCSB) - For am I now trying to win the favor of people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.

Take the time to give mind to Jesus Christ because he wants to lead you down a path to enjoying your life to the fullest ...

Matt 5:9 (KJV) - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Good Morning Heavenly Father

We're so GRATEFUL that the economy doesn't determine how long or how LOUD we praise your loving name. We're testifying this because bewilderment isn't our middle name ...

It's a pity but, society has a tendency to only focus their attention on what's going wrong in the world, instead of taking the time to smell the roses and say good morning to their neighbors. Perhaps, Jesus isn't on their radar yet, nonetheless Body of Christ let's manifest: patience, love and forgiveness because in God's time, not ours, something will stick ...

Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ no matter what goes on in our life's is our definition of a grateful heart and we strongly believe this too ...

Romans 8:2 (NLV) - We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan.

Not a Crime

We're so grateful that the Lord's word offers us healthy advice on how to eat, what to wear, how to address and refuse the foolish antics that our siblings and friends expect us to accept ... We toss this into the mix because a lot of Sisters, Brothers and Youths are afraid to stand up for what Jesus Christ teaches in His word; but instead they just shake it off in a playful way ...

Body of Christ, don't allow anyone to trick you into believing that it's a crime to teach people how to respect the friendship you have with our Heavenly Father ...

Sunday's Surprise

A progressive mindset is acquired during the oddest moments in a person's life. The bible clearly illustrates the events that occurred between the Philistines and the Israelites(1 Samuel 17:3). For 40 days and nights the Philistines came down to declare a battle on the Israelites(1 Samuel 17:3) ...

Goliath a nine feet, nine inch giant, the champion of Gath(1 Samuel 17:4) and carrier of a bronze scale armor that weighed 125 pounds(1 Samuel 17:5) was unaware that David the youngest son of Jesse would be concerned with removing the disgrace from Israel(1 Samuel 17:26). What amazed us was the manner in which David's oldest brother Eliab was annoyed by David's conversation with the other men(1 Samuel17:28). This encouraged us because David was being measured by his age, size, and experience; but that didn't impede David from stating that the Lord that rescued him from the paws of the lion and bear that attempted to kill him(1 Samuel 17:37) would be in his corner during the battle. With something so simple as five smooth stones(1 Samuel 17:40) David obtained the victory(1 Samuel 17:48) and defeated the Philistine with a sling and a stone(1 Samuel 17:50) ...

The moral to this Sunday morning teaching is that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover or listen to any negative minded people who try to keep you from reaching your dream ...

Greetings Sunday

Kicking start your Sunday with a optimistic mentality will be launching pad to how you embrace the rest of your day. What the Lord placed in our hearts was the story about an honest man named Job(Job 1:1). Now, don't think he was problem less, because he was. For example, Job had 7 sons, 3 sisters and they'd had a serious habit of having banquets full of constant drinking, eating and all night partying(Job 1:5). During all of Job's children questionable behavior, the next morning Job would send his children to purity themselves because he wasn't sure whether or not they offend the Lord(Job 1:5). Job was extremely wise because he known the following ...

Colossians 3:5 (NCV) - But remember that anyone who does wrong will be punished for that wrong, and the Lord treats everyone the same.

There's more to Job's tale, however we just wanted to address the positive side of this tale. His(Job's) mindset was as clear as his heart and he wanted to instill in his 7 children a valuable lesson which has this type of foundation ...

Psalm 37:3 (HCSB) -Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely.

Embracing a Happy Morning

For some of you it's been a stressful week, unpleasant issues seemed to appear and perhaps siblings, friends and/or co-workers mocking you too. It's not the end of the world because the bible clearly states that Jesus Christ went through a lot more. You see, He was betrayed by Judas his disciples(Matthew 26:48), denied 3 times by Peter another disciple (Matthew 26:75) and a shouting crowd told Pilate to Crucify Him(Matthew 27:22-23) ...

Ergo, all of the above had to come to pass because God shared these events with the Prophet Isaiah(Isaiah 53). Before we bring this post to an end, allow us to ask you a few questions? Have you taken the time to sit down, ponder and prayer about what the Lord has declared over your life? If you haven't then allow us to remind you this, in order for you to reach the finish line, you must go through some stuff first, learn a lesson, share the results with all those that come behind you and don't forget this either ....

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB) - I am sure of this, that He who started a good work  in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
